What is the difference between a page layout and a spread layout?
A spread is designed across two pages, taking both pages into account and using both pages. A page layout is designed on a single page only, and has nothing to do with the next page.

What is a gutter?
When a book is open, the gutter is the center of the book between pages where both pages bend back to the spine of the book. In regular books, the text is shifted to the outside of each page to allow space for the gutter, without the text rolling deep into the gutter where it can’t be read.

Can I do spread layouts on an album with gutters?
Yes, pictures in albums with a gutter roll into the gutter. We design your album so no pictures of people are in the center of the spread. This prevents a person or face from rolling into the gutter. Our Presidential albums are gutterless, and we can design across the center of the book. There is a very fine seam approx 1/16 of an inch wide in the center of the page but this does not disrupt the layout or the pictures.

How long will it take to complete my album or scrapbook?
As a general rule of them an album can be completed 3-6 weeks depending on the amount of customization required. Each album is hand created one at a time. No mass production goes into the design of your album, and we don't like to rush our designers.

Absolutely! As soon as your layouts are complete, we post them to our web site under a special client’s area where you can preview your layouts .

How long will my online album be available to view?
For the first 90 days after delivery of your finished bound albums, the online version will remain for free. Thereafter, it can remain as long as you wish. Contact us for the price of this service.

Are there any specific album care instructions.
Don’t leave your album on the dash board of your car, or anywhere it will get hot. The color from the digital press can cause the pages to stick, destroying the images and pages. Presidential albums also have special storage instructions that ship with the book.
