As I work to do my personal scrapbooking I am often trying to decide what is most important to scrapbook vs. what looks great. As I reviewed my photos I realized that the things I most want to scrapbook are those defining moments in my life. Those moments that have meaning to me, those moments that help define who I am and what I value, moments that I want my children to know and understand. What are your defining moments? Have you scrapbooked them?
I also do custom scrapbooking. Look at my site at http://www.freewebs.com/billiescraps4u and tell me what you think of it.

I absolutely love shooting digital. I like the flexibility of choosing what to keep and what to discard before I ever print. However, digital can be disastrous if you dont back up your photos. There are numerous ways to do this efficiently. If you have a lab print your photos ask them for a CD copy of the images, or make your own CD to take to the lab. This CD will consequently act as your back-up. It is also best not to delete the images from your camera card until you know if your back-up was successful. It is worth keeping an extra memory card for this purpose.
I am not much of a winter lover, but one thing I do enjoy is getting great photos of those snow angels, snowball fights and snowmen. Snow Kidding, snow photos can be great fun.

At the moment I am experiencing a form of scrappers block (is that even a real thing?), so I figured I would take a break and write my blogs. I am finding that what I actually have is Creative Block since this mental block is extending beyond scrapbooking into everything else I try to do creatively, including writing! I guess its time for that fudge brownie. I am sure it has ingredients which can be directly linked to creativity.
I love the accessibility of resources on the internet. How great it is to sit in the comfort of my home and be able to answer all those why questions you get from your kids, like mom why do birds fly, mom, why do caterpillars have two backsides and all the other why questions children are famous for. With scrapbooking I find the resources on internet just as plentiful. Whenever I have a creative block it always helps to check out all the beautiful work other people do. It is both inspiring and intimidating.
With Christmas rapidly approaching I find myself dreaming about giving the perfect Christmas gift. I love to see the faces of those on the receiving end when you give a gift that you know has meaning. This year our gifts to family will be digitally created family scrapbook albums. How great is that!
